Halloween

 Halloween takes place on October 31st, it is when all the little kiddies come out in fancy dress and go around and knock on strangers doors for candy. You have to dress up really spooky and in scary clothes like a skeleton or a werewolf, something like that. You have to act really scary otherwise they won't listen to you and you won't get any candy. 

The day is also known for pumpkins were you cut out a face through the pumpkin either using a knife or a spoon and you great the create crazy pictures on a pumpkin, you then can put a candle in it or a fake one and you will then keep it outside while the day gets darker and darker. We celebrate halloween because of the old days when people would like up bonfires and dress up to scare away ghosts they believed were around visiting them.

There have been many movies about halloween and scary characters coming out and killing all the little kids, like Scream, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street. Halloween only happens once a year and is an okay day but I think people over hype it as it gets boring when you are older. Thank you for reading tonight!
