Larry the Cat is famously the Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office and has been for 11 years. There have been 12 different cats to hold this postion since 1924, they include 3 peters and one Munich Mouser. They are all different types of breeds that have lived at number 10 downing street over the many years of the different prime ministers have lived there, sometimes even outlasting the prime ministers as they come and go so quickly.
Larry is there to keep all the mice out of the house and stop them from invading the house. The ministers have tried to be friends with him but he runs around alot and likes to evade them. Larry is an important piece of UK culture as he is seen as a strong and stable unit of british government over the last few years.
He recently got into a fight with a fox and it was reported all the over the new with Kay Burley thinking it was some sort of wrestling match. Larry and the other cats have placed an important part in UK politics and once Larry goes he will be replaced but not forgetten. Thank you for reading tonight.
