Twitch.tv is a website that allows people to broadcast their own content onto the internet and that allows anyone to become internet famous. You can also join a community and make brand new friends. My favourite part of twitch is the just chatting part of the streams where alot of random stuff happens, they maybe trying to sing to their viewers or they might try to set up dominos to knock over later. The amount of content you can get on twitch is amazing.
It was original launched as Justin.tv in 2007 and later changed its name to twitch in 2011 to focus on gaming content. But in recent years it has opened to much much more including art and music making on the website. You can see so many creative people on the website.
It was purchase by Amazon in 2014 and now Jeff Bezos owns the website. There are many emotes on the website, these include Pogchamp, Kappa and Pepe. These are now used on some many different websites. As of 2022, Ninja is the top creator on the website with 18.3 million subscribers. There is also Twitchcon where all the big creators come around and hang out with each other. They started in 2015. Twitch is a cool place and you meet alot of cool people, thank you reading tonight.
